HOME RENOVATION STRATEGY
Thoughtful guidance for homeowners who want to lead their own renovation—with a strategic partner by their side.
Together, we’ll create a clear, considered plan for your renovation—bringing structure to the big decisions while leaving room for you to shape a home that feels distinctly your own.
What we’ll work through
Our six-step process is designed to bring structure and clarity to the early stages of your renovation. We’ll work from the big picture inward—defining your vision, evaluating how your home could function better, and aligning scope, budget, and design direction before bringing it all together in your customized Home Renovation Strategy.
___
PROJECT VISION
We begin by defining what you’re trying to create and why. We’ll clarify your goals, priorities, budget, timeline, and how you want your home to support the way you live—creating a shared vision that guides the decisions that follow.
01
___
SPACE PLANNING
We’ll evaluate how your home functions today and identify opportunities to improve flow, functionality, and the way each space supports everyday life. Together, we’ll explore conceptual layout recommendations and determine where changes could have the greatest impact.
*This is conceptual space planning, not architectural floor plans.
02
___
SCOPE DEFINITION
A renovation can quickly become a growing list of projects. We’ll determine what should be included in your renovation, what can wait, and how the different pieces of the project connect—creating a defined scope that reflects both your priorities and the larger vision for your home.
03
___
BUDGET DEVELOPMENT
We’ll align the vision for your home with the realities of your investment. Together, we’ll establish realistic expectations, identify the areas where your budget can have the greatest impact, and consider where to invest, where to simplify, and where thoughtful tradeoffs may be necessary.
04
___
DESIGN DIRECTION
We’ll establish a cohesive point of view for your home through architectural references, material palettes, and a custom mood board. The goal is to create a clear visual language that can guide future decisions—while intentionally leaving room for your own creativity, discoveries, and personal style.

WHO THIS IS FOR
The Home Renovation Strategy is designed for homeowners who want to lead their own renovation—with an experienced strategic partner in their corner.
You may want to source your own finishes, work directly with contractors, and remain closely involved in the decisions that shape your home. What you don’t want is to navigate the entire renovation alone or make costly decisions without a clear strategy connecting them.
This engagement may be right for you if:
You want to take an active role in your renovation rather than hand the project over to a full-service interior designer.
You value expert guidance on the big-picture decisions but want the freedom to make many of the individual selections yourself.
You have ideas, inspiration, or a growing list of projects but need help turning them into a cohesive renovation plan.
You want an experienced strategic partner to help you think through scope, space planning, budget priorities, and design direction before construction begins.
Your renovation involves a home of approximately 3,000 square feet or less. Larger homes and more complex renovation scopes may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
You want your home to feel considered and cohesive without the commitment of a full-service design engagement.
STRATEGIC GUIDANCE. NOT CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION.
The Home Renovation Strategy is designed to help you determine what you are doing and why before you move into the technical and construction phases of your renovation.
It does not include architectural drawings or construction documents, full-service interior design or detailed selections, interior elevations or detailed millwork drawings, construction project management, permitting, or architectural and engineering services.
The focus is on creating a clear, considered foundation for the work ahead—so you can move into the next phase of your renovation with greater clarity and confidence.
Is the Home Renovation Strategy right for your project?
Every engagement begins with a discovery conversation to better understand your home, your goals, and where you are in the renovation process.
From there, we’ll determine whether the Home Renovation Strategy is the right foundation for your project.
